Several researchers from the School of Architecture and the Built Environment have contributed to the book, which provides a historical overview of the city's environmental development and presents the work of sustainable urban development that is the foundation of Stockholm's unique position. The book discusses the extent to which approaches used in Stockholm can be applied to other places and contexts. The book shows how urban planning, architecture, traffic planning, regional development and infrastructure have contributed to making Stockholm the greenest city in Europe.
